Hal Patterson's passion in life – mountaineering – significantly influences his career as a leadership consultant and trainer.
While earning his bachelor and master's degrees at the University of Colorado – Boulder, Hal lived with world-class climbing opportunities literally in his own backyard. Bagging summit after summit, he realized he could translate attaining his leisure-pursuits into a solid business/ organizational model, implementing step-by-step processes that would propel clients onward to attain their own goals.
From that point on, Hal clearly pursued his career mission in leadership training. As husband and father, he
integrates his first-hand life/work balance expertise into each client interaction.
Hal tackles mountainous organizational projects with the same planning and flexibility as the craggy pitches he climbs in his native Colorado Rockies. He captures a company's vision through active listening and brainstorming, implementing a “Diagnosis / Feedback / Implementation / Evaluation / Follow-up” model that allows for successful individualized solutions. Hal applies the same careful preparation to each project as he does climbing, examining possible routes to success and providing customized curriculum and whatever specialized tools are needed to accomplish his clients' goals.
Over 25 years of experience have honed his instincts and provide Hal with a unique skill set augmented by his consultation
and facilitation in non-profit, industrial and academic venues, with an extensive concentration in healthcare settings from individual practices to hospital-wide implementation. Each client receives his full attention to the particular issue needing to be addressed, whether it be career strategies or planned growth, leadership development or transition management, communication or employment issues.
Hal knows firsthand the exhilaration of a view from the top. He strives to capture an organization's vision, helps them set attainable checkpoint goals and ultimately enables them to reach their individual summit.
